Dawn Strausser joined Speech
and Hearing Center in March 1998. She currently manages day-to-day
operations, and assists with Program reporting for various funding
agencies. She has also undertaken the administration of marketing
responsibilities and serves on the marketing committee.
Before SHC, she worked in the Insurance Industry for
13 years. Several of those years were spent traveling around the country
to various Insurance Companies to assist them in reducing their backlogged
inventory of health insurance claims. Her most enjoyable task in the
Insurance field was developing and conducting quality assurance programs.
Currently, Dawn is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree
in Business Management, from University of Phoenix. With only a few classes
left, she feels there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
Dawn’s love for SHC’s mission, the staff,
and the patients is what keeps her motivated and excited about coming
to work each day. She says her job is very emotionally rewarding, even
though she is on the administrative side of patient care.
Dawn’s favorite pastime is spending time with
her three sons and their six dogs! She also enjoys traveling, Broadway
Shows, painting, and visits with family and friends.
