Background…
The Speech and Hearing Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit,
501 (C) (3), agency serving northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.
We provide high-quality audiology and speech/language pathology
services to the community. Our operating expenses are defrayed
by revenue for services, the sale of hearing aids, grants (United
Way of Northeast Florida, City of Jacksonville, Jessie Ball duPont
Fund, Sertoma) and donations.
The Center is a member of the National Association
of Speech and Hearing Centers.

Professional Experience:
Dr. Nozza is an audiologist with many years of professional experience.
He is clinically certified in audiology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of both ASHA and the American
Academy of Audiology. He has 14 years of experience directing audiology
programs in hospitals in two major academic medical centers, namely
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Temple University Health
System hospitals. He also was full professor with tenure on the
faculty of The University of Georgia, where he taught in the Communication
Disorders program for eight years. He has many published research
articles and has presented many papers at local, national and international
conferences. In addition, he has had extensive clinical, educational,
administrative and management experience in hearing and speech
settings. His particular interests are in diagnostic assessment
of the hearing of infants and children.
Personal:
Dr. Nozza enjoys his time with his family and also enjoys running,
exercising and reading. |
